Eight is the new seven

Galen is Galen, or should I say, Galen is a healthy 3 1/2 year old boy. He's made of snakes and snails and puppy dog tails - and eager to let them all out. All that energy, emotion, and curiosity seeking the easiest way out of that incredible body & mind. Sometimes appropriately, sometimes not.

For about three years we've stuck to roughly the same schedule; nap from 1 to 3, and bedtime at 7. Last Saturday we changed bedtime from 7 to 8. This allows him to enjoy the evening playing with the neighborhood kids after dinner. Fun times for Galen.

Liam has taken this in stride. We still put him to bed at 7, by the time Galen goes to bed Liam's already asleep. Works well for the kids, extends chores for us. Rather than a tag team flurry of effort from 6:30 to 7, we seem to have a stretched out period extending from 6:30 to 8. Shanna's not a fan of the new schedule. One good point is that each kid get a last dose of one-on-one time before bed.
