This too, shall pass. It is true for all of us, friends, family, and pets. When a person dies, we all think we know the sense of loss, sorrow. But what about the longtime pet? I know the loss. I think I know what some in Arizona are feeling.

A pet becomes connected to us, or at least us to it. When they pass away, a connection is lost, and a bit of ourselves.
