Catch

Galen has figured out how to play catch with the dogs. OK, not quite catch, but close. Galen will throw the tennis ball, Rocky & Natasha will race to it, I'll call them over and get the ball and give it to Galen. Then the cycle repeats... Both dogs had tennis balls as playthings when pup's, it holds a special memory to them. When Galen is holding one, it's as if he has food. And he loves the attention. Galen has even taken it from Rocky's mouth. They are all buds...

Sick, but not of the Zoo

Galen's been under the weather. Just a cold, but it's impacting little man's good disposition. He's sleeping through the night though his nap durations have been inconsistent. And no surprise, he HATES getting his nose sucked or wiped. Can't say that I blame him.

We went ahead with our Monday outing and visited the zoo. Fresh air and activity seem to take his mind off of the misery. Here he is behind bars, no, not jail, just the slats of a stairway up to the zoo's treehouse.

Happy Valentine's Day Schmoogie!!!

It's been a Year

I have been at this for a little over year now. One that has flown by and shown me a wealth of surprises. With Shanna back in school, reality (and work) is setting back in.

Walk'n, or toddl'n, not really sure what to call it. Galen's confidence grows almost daily. The speed is picking up, he can almost run without wiping out. It's great to seem him charge in between Rocky & Natasha. They are a great workout session, they challenge his balance, coordination, and strength. (And Natasha keeps his face clean.)

His signing vocabulary is picking up. I think he's at about ten signs, though "more" is used for about five different things. We have to look at the context to see what we think he wants.

Little man likes bar-b-que...
