Sleep, or why is Galen's so intermittent?

Naptime:
It starts off well. He usually does not fuss or fight, just picks up toys and off to bed. But lately he's taken to getting up 45 minutes to an hour later saying he's "all done" sleeping. What happened to 2 to 3 hours???

I've learned that if I let him stay up, the afternoon is usually a grumpy one. He's irritable, quick to cry, and not exactly pleasant to his brother or dogs. Usually I spend another hour, at 15 minute intervals, shooing him back to bed. Sometimes he sleeps, and sometimes...

Nightime:
Starts off the same as a nap, off to bed. However, somewhere between 3 and 5 we'll awake to him in our room wanting to sleep with us. No dice, he gets m,arched back down and tucked back into bed. Some nights thins happens once, a few times it has happened three times.

Stage or Setting?
Coincidentally, this has started shortly after moving in to the new house. He slept OK during the drive. Slept OK at the temporary housing, and started off OK here. So, is it a stage or the setting? Either way, it doesn't matter. Patience, love, and consistency may guide us through.

If not, Minnesota liquor stores do have a good tequila selection... Then I can sleep.

PS:
I finally downloaded my pics from the AZ-to-MN RV tour. Here's a teaser.

Rain, is that why MN is green?

Saturday, ALLLLLL day. Sunday, a good part. Maybe our brown yard will get a chance to rejuvenate itself. According to the paper, the lower SE corner of the state was hit pretty hard. Almost 12 inches of rain in one day!

Galen enjoyed it, or at east wanted to. And he is adjusting to it far better than the dogs, they just don't understand.

So, picture this. It's a cool, rainy Sunday evening and I'm in the backyard keeping the dogs close by while they do their business. There's a funny droning sound, can't quite figure it out - or care. And then "LEE". There's Shanna standing at the patio door, covered in a towel and soak'n'wet. "Help!"

The hallway fire alarm, the one next to our, and Liam's bedroom, is wailing - loud. I get the thing down and Shanna checks on the kids - all snoozing peacefully. Thankfully.

The alarm was filled with dust and cobwebs - time for a new one.

Settling In

There isn't a shoe horn made that's big enough.

Going from 2400 sq ft home to 2100, 3 car garage to 2, kinda modern closets to almost modern indentations, 200 amp service to 150, and ceiling fans galore to none is painful. Boxes, furniture, and excess stuff we used to use has been carted off to storage.

Closet storage systems are to be installed - that will help a little.

And don't let me forget the rot found under the front window. There's a bill we didn't want.

But Galen says "our new home".
