Goodbye, and farewell

I hold it true, whate'er befall;
I feel it when I sorrow most;
'Tis better to have loved and lost
Than never to have loved at all.
Alfred, Lord Tennyson

The words were written as a commentary on death, but this is close enough. After seventeen years of marriage, ours is over. Our time together has created two beautiful boys and countless memories, for both of these I am grateful.

As the mother of my children, we will speak again. Our children need a mother, a father. We will work through issues, guide them to a future. To you, I say goodbye.

As my former wife, our time is over. The memories remain, some to be forgotten and others cherished. Echoing Tennyson, I am better for having loved you. And to you, I say farewell.
